Explore the Chilla region of Rajaji National Park, including Mandal Mithawali and Khara, with a thrilling gypsy safari. Near Motichoor village, the Motichoor Range gate grants access to Rajaji National Park, 24 km from Asarori via Charing Cross. This region, primarily Sal forests, offers a decent experience, though animal sightings may be rare due to passing trains. Open from November 15 to around June 30.
The Ranipur range safari covers approximately 25 km, offering sightings of Spotted Deer, Sambhar Deer, Nilgai, Barking Deer, and Leopards. Surrounded by small hills and grasslands, the forest features mixed vegetation and is home to various owl species. Leopards are commonly spotted perched on walls.
Renowned for its Swamp Deer and Barasingha, this area is a prime location for wildlife photography. Spanning 40-45 km, it takes 3 to 3.5 hours to traverse. Notably, it may remain open until June 30th, a fact unknown to many tourists. Rajaji National Park provides a vast habitat attracting diverse wildlife.
